What are some easy tropical fish to use in a new 10 gallon aquarium?

I have a 10 gallon tank and would like to start a tropical fish tank, but I’ve only had goldfish before this. I know I have to let the tank go through a two week cycle before I put fish in it to build up the good bacteria and such, but I was wondering if there were some easy, but pretty and nice to keep, tropical fish to start out with.

Try:
1 Angle fish
A Few neons and show guppies (they swim in shoals.)
Sword Tails (Guppies and these guys breed like crazy)
An Albino (forgot its name, but its a small fish that doesnt stop eating, will keep your gravel clean)
Platties are nice because the are small fish that have such huge personalities but they create a lot of waste and can breed like crazy.
I also think the dwarf gouramis or Sparkling Gouramis (I believe that is what they are called) they are the smallest of the gourami family and I believe both can be fairly easy to keep and are quite colorful. They are also good community fish. Just be careful they can also be a little territorial
Lastly, here is an odd suggestion maybe some barbs. You have to be careful which kind you get though. But both Albino Cherry Barbs and Gold Barbs are community fish and fairly easy to care for.
Sorry I tried to think of some different suggestions besides the usual answers I knew you would get….some of these fish will be hard to find but you could order them online. I suggest http://www.liveaquaria.com I have never had any problems ordering from them in the past!
dont have angelfish
what would look nice though is a sword tail with some guppies(get same sex ones otherwise at the end of a month you’ll have much more than how much you bought)
oh, its good you know about the fish less cycle but here’s a good guide to follow: http://www.csupomona.edu/~jskoga/Aquariums/Ammonia.html ignore what they use as a beneficial bacteria but get stress zyme
3 male guppies but make sure they’re ALL males. you can tell because males are usually smaller in size and have a more colerful body. also look for a black spot on the belly. if it has a black spot it’s a female and your tank could get overcrowded
There are some nice swordtails and platys you could start with. They come in a variety of colors and finnage. The breed easily though. Cardinal tetras also look amazing in a group, but I wouldn’t add those until your tank is stable for some time (about 6 months). Threadfin rainbows also looks nice in a group, but I would wait on those as well.
You best bet for a new tank would be a small group of danios. They are hardy and usually survive the cycle. Then once your tank is stable look for soem other fish to add like tetras.
The cycle won’t really complete until you have added fish to produce ammonia that the bacteria eats. So when you add fish add no more than 2 and test you water for a few weeks until the ammonia and nitrites peak and then go back to 0. Then add more fish slowly.
